The Q-SYMBIO trial presents compelling quantitative evidence for CoQ10’s efficacy in heart failure management. Only 15% of patients receiving CoQ10 100 mg three times daily experienced serious cardiac events—including hospitalisation, cardiovascular death, urgent transplantation, or mechanical support—compared with 26% of placebo recipients. This 43% relative risk reduction was sustained across the full two-year follow-up period in a cohort of 420 patients with moderate-to-severe chronic heart failure receiving optimal medical therapy. The magnitude of benefit rivals many established pharmaceutical interventions and demonstrates consistent protective effects across multiple clinical endpoints. These results suggest that CoQ10 supplementation merits integration into contemporary heart failure management protocols as an adjunctive strategy.
