Content Integrity
GMJ News is a medical news and education service published by the Georgian Medical Journal. These are the standards that govern our content.
Accuracy and sourcing
Our reporting is based on identifiable primary sources — peer-reviewed literature, official health-agency and regulator publications, and named institutional statements. We link to those sources and describe findings in proportion to the strength of the underlying evidence.
Not a substitute for medical advice
GMJ News content is intended for general information and professional awareness. It is not a substitute for individual medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Readers should not act on GMJ News content without consulting a qualified health professional and the relevant primary sources.
Independence and no advertising
GMJ News does not accept advertising or sponsored content, and editorial decisions are not influenced by any commercial, political, or institutional interest.
Conflicts of interest
Where a contributor or the journal has a relevant interest in a topic, that interest is disclosed. Editorial leadership recuse themselves from coverage in which they have a conflict.
Transparency about AI
We use AI-assisted tools in producing content and disclose this openly. See our Editorial Process for details. AI is a production aid; it is not treated as a source, and editorial responsibility rests with the GMJ editorial team.
Privacy and patient data
We do not publish identifiable patient information. Case material drawn from the published literature is reported only as it appears in the cited, peer-reviewed source.
Corrections
Errors are corrected promptly and noted transparently. See Corrections.
