New data from the ReMIND phase 1 trial, published in Nature Medicine in June 2026, reveals a complete response rate and three additional long-term responders among pediatric patients treated with multi-antigen-targeting engineered T cells for central nervous system tumors. This 100% clinical response rate in a small but heavily pretreated cohort represents a notable achievement in pediatric neuro-oncology, a field where standard therapies carry substantial long-term neurotoxicity risks. The engineered T cell treatment demonstrated a well-tolerated safety profile, with manageable adverse events across the patient population. These encouraging early findings underscore the potential of multi-antigen-directed immunotherapy to overcome tumor escape mechanisms that limit single-antigen approaches. The trial data support continued investigation in larger phase 2 studies.
