This absence is particularly significant given the widespread marketing of these distinct formulations in the supplement marketplace. The analysis reveals that most supplement industry claims rest on animal models and cellular biology studies rather than human clinical data. Current evidence grades for form-specific claims range from 35 percent for magnesium malate and fatigue management down to just 12 percent for magnesium taurate and cardiac support. This evidence hierarchy underscores a critical disconnect between supplement marketing sophistication and the actual human clinical research supporting these products.
