The NHS expansion of stereotactic ablative radiotherapy offers three essential advantages for prostate cancer patients. First, treatment duration is dramatically shortened from 20 sessions to 5, reducing hospital visits by 75 percent while maintaining therapeutic effectiveness. Second, the precision-targeting approach significantly minimizes radiation exposure to healthy tissues surrounding the tumor, thereby reducing treatment-related side effects that can impact long-term quality of life.
