The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced a Class I recall for VOCSN V+Pro ventilators manufactured by React Health, the most serious classification level for medical devices. The recall stems from a critical manufacturing defect that may result in undetected oxygen leaks during patient use.

Affected healthcare facilities have been advised to immediately discontinue use of the devices and verify serial numbers to identify units in their inventory. An oxygen leak condition in ventilators poses significant risks to critically ill patients who depend on precise oxygen delivery for respiratory support, potentially leading to hypoxemia and respiratory failure.

React Health has initiated a voluntary removal process to address the manufacturing issue. Healthcare providers are required to implement immediate corrective actions and verify device functionality before resuming use. The recall underscores the critical importance of rigorous quality control measures in medical device manufacturing and distribution.
