ანტიგენურობა არის თვისება, რომელიც საშუალებას აძლევს ნივთიერებას გამოიწვიოს იმუნური რეაქცია ორგანიზმში [1].

Antigenicity is the ability of a substance to provoke an immune response in the body.

ანტიგენურობა ნიშნავს, რომ რაღაც ნივთიერება, როგორიცაა ვირუსი ან ბაქტერია, შეუძლია გამოიწვიოს ორგანიზმის დაცვითი რეაქცია. ეს რეაქცია ეხმარება სხეულს დაიცვას თავი დაავადებებისგან. მაგალითად, ვაქცინები იყენებენ ანტიგენურობას, რათა სხეულმა ისწავლოს როგორ ებრძოლოს ინფექციებს.
