The UK Health Security Agency has published the 20th volume of its Health Protection Report, delivering comprehensive surveillance data on infectious disease trends and outbreak responses across England throughout 2025. This annual publication represents the continuation of the UK’s longest-running public health surveillance series, originally established by the Health Protection Agency in 2007.

The report maintains its critical role in communicating national surveillance data to healthcare professionals, clinicians, and policymakers. Volume 20 builds on nearly two decades of systematic data collection, offering longitudinal insights into disease patterns, outbreak management strategies, and the effectiveness of public health interventions. The publication aligns with international best practices for infectious disease monitoring and provides evidence-based foundations for health policy development and resource allocation decisions across England’s health security infrastructure.
