This dual-mechanism strategy targets tumour cells through two distinct pathways: direct cytotoxic depletion and immune system activation. Early clinical evidence suggests the combination addresses a critical gap in current bladder cancer management, where recurrence remains a significant challenge despite aggressive surgical intervention.
However, clinicians emphasize that successful implementation requires careful patient selection, multidisciplinary collaboration, and rigorous monitoring for immune-related adverse events. Toxicity management remains paramount as these agents are integrated into perioperative protocols.
