A comprehensive meta-analysis published in Tropical Medicine & International Health reveals that individuals with blood type O possess a biological advantage against severe Plasmodium falciparum malaria. Researchers systematically analyzed data from multiple studies across diverse geographic regions to confirm a protective effect that has been observed in medical literature for decades.
