Four major international organizations have announced an unprecedented commitment to integrated health security at the first One Health Summit, pledging $100 billion through 2030. The World Health Organization, World Organisation for Animal Health, Food and Agriculture Organization, and UN Environment Programme—collectively known as the Quadripartite—are formalizing expanded collaboration protocols to address health threats that transcend species and environmental boundaries.

The investment framework prioritizes surveillance systems, laboratory capacity, and workforce development across human and animal health sectors, with approximately 60% of funding directed toward strengthening One Health infrastructure in low- and middle-income countries. Implementation is scheduled to begin in 2025, with participating nations required to establish national coordination mechanisms by 2026. This coordinated approach reflects growing recognition that pandemic prevention demands integrated monitoring of human, animal, and environmental health indicators.
