Biological aging markers comparison: young adults versus older generations, accelerated aging indicators across systemic and organ-specific markers
Young adults are experiencing accelerated biological aging across systemic and organ-specific levels, correlating with increased early-onset cancer risk compared with older adults born decades earlier, according to population cohort analyses published in Nature Medicine (June 2026). The findings suggest that biological age, rather than chronological age, may be a superior predictor of cancer risk in younger populations. — Photo by Ayşegül Aytören on Pexels (Pexels License)
