Clinicians can potentially select more effective therapies by accounting for individual metabolic characteristics, moving beyond one-size-fits-all treatment approaches. For patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, understanding your specific ceramide metabolism profile may inform optimal drug selection and improve response rates.
These insights emphasize the clinical value of population-specific research in oncology. Personalized treatment strategies informed by metabolic biology could meaningfully reduce the 2.4-fold mortality disparity currently affecting Black men with prostate cancer.
