The partnership between the WHO Regional Office for Africa and Cabo Verde’s Ministry of Health focused on enhancing disease surveillance infrastructure, communicable disease control protocols, and emergency preparedness capabilities across the island nation.
Through targeted technical assistance, WHO supported the development of real-time disease detection systems and laboratory capacity improvements critical for early outbreak response.
