Innate immunity systems which recognize presence of pathogens either through detection of damages associated with pathogen effector, e.g., pathogenic toxins and pore formation (effector triggered immunity) or though detection of molecular patterns common to many types of microbes (PATHOGEN-ASSOCIATED MOLECULAR PATTERN MOLECULES) through PATTERN RECOGNITION RECEPTORS.
