The Enhanced Games presents three significant concerns that athletes and stakeholders should understand before participating. First, competitors face well-documented health risks: 85 percent of anabolic steroid users experience adverse effects including cardiovascular complications, liver damage, and hormonal disruption. The event provides no mandatory medical monitoring to mitigate these dangers.

Second, participation may carry professional consequences. The International Olympic Committee and major sports federations have indicated they will not recognize Enhanced Games results and may impose sanctions on participating athletes, potentially affecting future competitive eligibility and sponsorship opportunities.

Third, the event’s normalization of unrestricted PED use could influence amateur and youth athletes, undermining decades of anti-doping education efforts. Sports medicine professionals worry the competition sets a dangerous precedent for athletic culture globally.
