The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has approved 47 new pharmaceutical manufacturing and wholesale dealer licences in a significant regulatory expansion that strengthens the nation’s pharmaceutical infrastructure. The approval comprises 28 manufacturing licences and 19 wholesale dealer licences, enabling companies to both produce medicines for domestic and international markets and establish robust distribution networks across the healthcare supply chain.

This licensing wave demonstrates the UK pharmaceutical industry’s resilience and continued growth despite post-Brexit regulatory adjustments. All approved facilities must meet stringent Good Manufacturing Practice standards and maintain comprehensive quality assurance systems. Industry analysts view these approvals as a positive signal for sustained pharmaceutical innovation and production capacity in the UK, reinforcing the sector’s competitive position in global markets.
