პარაზიტული დაავადებები არის ინფექციური დაავადებები, რომლებიც გამოწვეულია პარაზიტებით, რომლებიც ცხოვრობენ ან იკვებებიან სხვა ორგანიზმზე [1]. ეს დაავადებები ხშირად ვრცელდება დაბინძურებული წყლის ან საკვების მეშვეობით [2].

Parasitic diseases are infectious diseases caused by parasites that live on or in a host organism.

პარაზიტული დაავადებები მნიშვნელოვან გავლენას ახდენენ საზოგადოებრივი ჯანმრთელობის მდგომარეობაზე საქართველოში, განსაკუთრებით სოფლის რეგიონებში, სადაც სანიტარული პირობები ნაკლებად არის დაცული. მათი დროული გამოვლენა და მკურნალობა აუცილებელია, რათა თავიდან ავიცილოთ დაავადების გავრცელება და სერიოზული გართულებები.

პარაზიტული დაავადებები წარმოიქმნება პარაზიტების მიერ, რომლებიც ცხოვრობენ ან იკვებებიან სხვა ორგანიზმზე, რომელსაც მასპინძელი ეწოდება. ეს დაავადებები შეიძლება გავრცელდეს სხვადასხვა გზით, მათ შორის დაბინძურებული წყლის, საკვების ან პირდაპირი კონტაქტით. პარაზიტები შეიძლება იყვნენ სხვადასხვა ტიპის, როგორიცაა პროტოზოები, ჭიები და ართროპოდები. საქართველოში, განსაკუთრებით სოფლის რეგიონებში, პარაზიტული დაავადებები ხშირად ვრცელდება არასაკმარისი სანიტარული პირობების გამო. ხშირად ადამიანები არ იცნობენ ამ დაავადებების სიმპტომებს და არ მიმართავენ დროულად ექიმს, რაც იწვევს დაავადების გართულებას. საზოგადოებრივი ჯანმრთელობის პროფესიონალებმა უნდა გაამახვილონ ყურადღება მოსახლეობის განათლებაზე და პრევენციულ ღონისძიებებზე, რათა შემცირდეს პარაზიტული დაავადებების გავრცელება.
