A phase 1 clinical trial evaluating MAGE-A4/MAGE-A8-targeted T cell engager therapy has been subject to an author correction published in Nature Medicine, highlighting the importance of data accuracy in oncology research. The trial enrolled patients with difficult-to-treat solid tumours that had recurred or become resistant to prior therapeutic interventions.

MAGE-A4 and MAGE-A8 are tumour-associated antigens expressed across several cancer types, making them attractive targets for immunotherapeutic intervention. The TCR-based bispecific engager represents an innovative cell therapy strategy designed to mobilise patient immune systems against these malignancies.
