Treating early-stage lung cancer costs substantially less than managing advanced disease, with estimates suggesting £25,000-£35,000 savings per early detection compared to advanced treatment protocols. This efficiency, combined with improved clinical outcomes, demonstrates that mobile screening represents both a clinical and fiscal imperative. Patients aged 55-74 with smoking histories should prioritise accessing these convenient, community-based screening opportunities where available.
