Where the Idea Came From
The initiative traces back to discussions among academic leaders and representatives of Georgian medical schools held in Tbilisi during the Autumn Council Meeting of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) in October 2025. Participants there emphasised the need for a modern, internationally oriented medical journal capable of amplifying the scientific voice of Georgian medicine, rather than leaving Georgian research dependent entirely on foreign-language, foreign-based journals to reach an international audience.
